LivingSocial appeared to handle everything with fairness, which was nice to see. An issue involving the ownership of the hotel came up, so LS sent people an email offering to switch them to another hotel, or receive a full refund. A few months ago this exact situation happened to people who purchased a LS voucher for the Sea Splash hotel in the Negril. However, these situations usually involve a hotel that has changed ownership and no longer wants to honor the LS vouchers. Under special circumstances, LivingSocial will offer a full refund to people who have redeemed their hotel vouchers within the first 30 days of buying it, or even after this period. You won't receive the same 'deal' though, you'll only able to apply whatever monies you spent for the voucher towards a stay.Īs for refunds, you can only request a refund within 30 days of buying the voucher, and it must be unredeemed to qualify. Hi Michelle! If you do not redeem your voucher by December 23, 2012, you can use the dollar amount that you paid for the voucher towards a future stay at Blue Diamond until August 17th, 2017.
